The requirements for obtaining this letter depend on the type of visa and the organization inviting you to the country.

Plane ticket (tourist visas only): If you are applying for a tourist visa for more than three months, you will be asked for your plane ticket booking out of Vietnam.

How long does it take to get a visa for Vietnam?

Theoretically, to get a visa, it takes 3 business days from the time of the receipt of valid documentation. Even so, the majority of diplomatic missions take 5 business days. In the case of NG1 and NG2 visas, it only takes one day.

It is also possible to apply for the express service (additional costs will apply), which tends to process the visa in 1 or 2 business days.

How much does a Vietnamese visa cost?

The cost depends on the type and duration of the visa for which you are applying:

eVisa: 25 USD

VOA (Entry stamp on arrival at the border): 25 USD

For other types of visas, it depends on the diplomatic mission where you apply for it.
